Punjab Energy Development Agency Issues Tender for 50 MW Solar Projects

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has issued an RFP for the supply, installation, commissioning of grid connected rooftop/ground mounted solar power plants with net metering/ net billing facility through RESCO model of cumulative capacity 50 MW.

The last date and time for the submission of e-bids is November 8, 2023. The date and time of opening of techno-commercial e-bids is November 14, 2023.

Bidders must deposit Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 5,00,00,000. Th bid will remain valid for a period of 180 days from the PPA signing.

The categories of system for the projects are 1 KWp to 5 KWp, 6 KWp to 10 KWp, 11 KWp to 50 KWp, 51 KWp to 100 KWp, 101 KWp to 500 kWP, 501 kWp to 3000 kWp, 3001 kWP to 5000 kWP.

Punjab Energy Development Agency is the nodal agency of the state government for the promotion and development of new and renewable energy projects and energy conservation. Punjab Government has decided that solar power projects on rooftops of all government buildings and institutions are to be installed through the Punjab Energy Development Agency, Chandigarh. These solar power plants are to be set up by PEDA through RESCO mode. PEDA in this regard has requested all the Government Departments in the state to send their list of buildings that can be considered for solarization. PEDA after finalizing the list of buildings, now has decided to tender out the entire capacity. Earlier, PEDA issued a tender for design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning including operation and maintenance of grid interactive ground mounted and rooftop solar projects of 7 MW.
