Premier Energies Signs 173.35 MWp MSA with BrightNight India By Lakshita Kapoor/ Updated On Wed, Oct 9th, 2024 Premier Energies Secures Solar Module Deal with BrightNight India Premier Energies International Private Ltd., a subsidiary of Premier Energies Limited, has signed a Module Supply Agreement (MSA) with BN Hybrid Power-1 Private Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of BrightNight India. According to the filing at the BSE by Premier Energies, it will supply 173.35 MWp of solar modules featuring the latest Topcon technology for BrightNight’s 300 MW FDRE (Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage) Power Project located in Barmer, Rajasthan. The project’s location in Barmer, Rajasthan, is strategic, as the region has abundant solar and wind resources, making it an apt location for renewable energy projects. The project combines wind, solar, and energy storage components to provide a reliable and dispatchable renewable power supply. In addition, Premier Energies announced its involvement in other significant projects, including winning a ₹215 crore project under the PM-KUSUM scheme for installing solar water pumping systems in Uttar Pradesh BrightNight India is a renewable energy is involved in the development and operation of hybrid renewable power projects. It incorporates solar, wind, and storage technologies to provide energy solutions. Fy24-25 has seen a sharp uptick in large orders for modules from domestic manufacturers, indicating a robust capacity addition in solar for the next 12 months and beyond. With domestic manufacturing capacity also ramping up, module firms that make their own cells, as Premier energies does, have a definite advantage for projects that require DCR modules. That is reflected in the singular uptick being seen in PMKUSUM led orders as well for the leading makers of both cells and modules. The flagship solar scheme of the government for the farm sector, PMKUSUM is expected to see record additions this year and the next, further supporting solar growth and outreach in multiple states that had lagged behind until now.
