Indian solar module manufacturer Premier Energies signed a 350 MW solar module supply agreement with Apraava Energy, an integrated energy solutions provider. Apraava Energy signed this agreement with Premier Energies Ltd and its subsidiaries, Premier Energies International and Premier Energies Photovoltaic.

Under the agreement, Telangana-based Premier Energies International is expected to provide solar PV modules to Apraava Energy’s solar project in Rajasthan. These modules are built to ensure performance, energy output, and reliability. Premier Energies Ltd, along with its subsidiaries. The supply agreement aims to provide Premier Energies International Private Limited solar PV modules to Apraava Energy’s solar project in Rajasthan. These modules aim to ensure performance, energy output, and reliability.

The company hosts the second largest integrated solar cell and solar module manufacturing in India (in terms of annual installed capacity of 2 GW and 3.36 GW, respectively as per a Frost & Sullivan Report), as of March 31, 2024. 

The company also scorecard among the highest top performers across all seven test categories, among regulars such as Adani Solar, Vikram Solar, and Waaree which have also maintained their presence, with Premier Energies turning in a strong performance as well. New entrant ReNew has fast-tracked its way into the top performers list as well. Saatvik Solar, Tata Power, and Goldi Solar are the other Indian names on the list.

PVEL runs the PV Module Product Qualification Program (PQP), scoring solar modules following the results of various testing procedures, including thermal cycling, damp heat, and hail stress sequence – with a new Top Performer in that category – back sheet durability, LID/LeTID sensitivity and more. In total, there are 10 different categories assessed, from India, Premier Energies turned one among many strong performers.
