Shri Pranav R Mehta, Founder Chairman of National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) passed away on Thursday afternoon at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The news was shared by NSEFI today. Pranav R Mehta was one of the leading Global Solar Energy thought Leaders, known for his social and environmental concerns. He served as Chairman of Global Solar Council and was also the Founder Chairman of National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and made outstanding contributions in India ranking globally amongst the top 5 solar countries in the world. An expert in “Concept to Commissioning” of high technology projects, Mr Mehta contributed his mite in Steel, Petroleum, Natural Gas, Solar Energy sectors with an emphasis on Sustainable Development. He previously served in the 7-member steering committee of IRENA Coalition for Action and was presently chairing the International Solar Alliance’s Corporate Advisory group. Indian Solar industry will miss his presence and guidance and NSEFI and entire Indian Solar Industry mourns his loss.
