Gujarat-based EPC company, Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited recently secured a work order of Rs. 17.07 Crores (Including taxes). It secured the order to supply, install, test, and commission plant and equipment at the site complete in all respects for the 5 MW (AC) Solar Power Project at Latur District, Maharashtra.

Power and Instrumentation secured this order from A2 Green Energy Private Limited (Formerly known as Hydel Consultants Private Limited). It gave details of the project, mentioned, “For the Supply, Installation, Testing, and commissioning of Plant and Equipment at site complete in all respects for 5 MW (AC) Solar Power Project at Latur District, Maharashtra project is expected to be completed by

The project completion schedule would be as follows, “Duration in months from the effective date 18 months: a) Supply, Installation, testing, completion, and commission of the facility to the extent of 75 % of the contract price within 12 months from Effective Date (date of the Award of Contact) b) Supply, Installation testing, completion and commission of the facility to the extent of 25% of the Contract price in next 6 months.”

The company added, “The contract price for supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Plant and Equipment at the site complete in all respects for the 5 MW (AC) Solar Power Project at Latur District, Maharashtra Company Area shall be an aggregate of Rs. 170,700,000/- (Seventeen Crores Seven Lacs Only) (Including taxes).”

Maharashtra As A Hotbed For Solar Project

This year, in 2025, the US-based BrightNight, a global renewable power producer, also commissioned the first phase of Optima Maharashtra, a 115 MW hybrid renewable power project in India. It’s also one of the first co-located wind-solar projects in Maharashtra.

The project is located in Dharashiv, Southern Maharashtra, and spanning about 1400 acres, Optima Maharashtra integrates advanced wind and solar technologies. Cleantech Solar also launched its 150 MWp open-access solar park project In Maharashtra. It commenced the commercial operation of its open-access solar PV projects for multiple clients at a solar park in Jalkot, Maharashtra. The park’s total capacity is ~150 MWp. It is Cleantech Solar’s sixth renewable energy park in Maharashtra.
