Hariom Pipe Industries Limited (HPIL) has entered the renewable energy sector, securing a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to develop 60 MW (AC) Solar Photovoltaic Power Generating Stations. This project falls under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, which aims to implement feeder-level solarization under Component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme. In a regulatory filing, the Hariom Pipe stated, “The fixed PPA tariff for the 60 MW (AC) solar power capacity is ₹2.96/kWh for a period of 25 years, with a subsidy of ₹1.05 crore per MW. Additionally, there is an incentive of ₹0.25/kWh for the first three years upon the timely commissioning of the project.” Hariom Pipe further mentioned that “Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) will purchase the power generated from the project for 25 years from the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date.” As per the scope of work, “The bidder will be responsible for ownership, financing, development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation & maintenance of the project, including the evacuation infrastructure up to the delivery point.” Regarding the project timeline, the company confirmed: “The project is planned for completion within 18 months.” Surge In Solar Pump Orders In Maharashtra There has been a significant increase in solar pump orders in Maharashtra. Last month, Alpex Solar secured a ₹45 crore order from MSEDCL under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Scheme, a key initiative aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity through solar-powered water pumps. The company secured an order to set up 877 Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra, valued at approximately ₹23.91 crore (inclusive of GST).
