PM KUSUM Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN) has invited bids to select Renewable Power Generators (RPGs) for developing 1.5 GW of grid-connected solar PV systems. The energy generated from these projects will be sold to MPPMCL under the feeder solarization component of PM-KUSUM-C at various locations in Madhya Pradesh. The deadline for online bid submission is March 31, 2025, while hard copies must be submitted by April 3, 2025. This is one of the largest yet tenders under component C of PMKUSUM. Readers will be aware that most installations in PMKUSUM have happened under component B, or off-grid solar pumps. The tender mentioned, “The grid-connected solar power plants will be linked to selected 33/11 kV substations for power sale to MPPMCL under PM-KUSUM-C. The tender also states, “Under Self-Development Mode, individual farmers, groups of farmers, cooperatives, panchayats, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Water User Associations (WUAs), government agricultural institutes, and other agriculture-related institutions are eligible to participate.” Additionally, the tender clarifies, “No financial eligibility criteria are prescribed for bidders participating under Self-Development Mode. However, at the time of bidding, the bidder must own the prescribed land on which they intend to set up the solar power plant under the PMKUSUM-C (feeder solarization) scheme.” Project Implementation Modes The tender outlines two participation modes: Developer Mode: PM-KUSUM Fund Allocation Rises, Maharashtra Sees Major Surge Also Read No land ownership proof is required for bid participation.
