Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Issues RFS for Setting up 22 EV Charging Stations

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has issued a tender for the establishment of 22 electric vehicles charging stations at several locations that fall under its jurisdiction.

The project development will take place under BOO basis (Build, Own, Operate). The bidder who emerges successful will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for a period of eight years.

The last date for the submission of bids is September 14, 2023. Bids open on September 18, 2023.

The scope of the work encompasses designing, engineering, testing the charging stations as well as the power infrastructure. An earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 759,000 is to be deposited by the bidder. A performance bank guarantee of INR 7.59 million is also to be submitted along with the EMD. The project has to be commissioned within six months of the work order. The cost of the project is estimated at over INR 15 crore.

To be eligible to bid for the project, bidders must have experience in implementing at least one project, covering at least 18 public EV charging stations. Alternatively, the bidders can have experience of carrying out a minimum of two or three projects, that encompass a minimum of 11 EV charging stations or 9 EV charging stations each, respectively.
