Orxa Energies & Nunam Technologies Partner to Repurpose Batteries Electric vehicle firm Orxa Energies has joined hands with Nunam Technologies, a startup delving into the reuse of electric vehicle batteries. The partnership sets sights on circular value chain for Orxa’s batteries. The goal is particularly for its flagship electric motorcycle, Mantis. Nunam Technologies will be responsible for extending the life of Mantis batteries, repurposing them into renewable energy storage systems. The agreement will also pave the path for the development of a battery buyback mechanism for Orxa’s B2B customers and riders of Mantis. Nunam will work in partnership with the engineering team of Orxa Energies to recognize the possibilities for reuse while minimizing costs. The BWMR 2023 makes collection of 100% waste battery and 100% refurbishment or recycling mandatory by end of the seven-year compliance cycle.
