Oriano Clean Energy has received a contract from Blueleaf Energy, a pan asian- renewable energy firm. Under the contract, the company is to develop solar PV projects of a total capacity of 184 MWp. The project is expected to be developed in Agar, Malwa, Madhya Pradesh.

Adding the Blueleaf Energy’s Pachora Hybrid Power Project to the new project, the Oriano EPC solar portfolio has increased to about 1.5 GWp. Of this, more than 1 GWp has been already commissioned. The remaining projects are being executed.

Previously Oriano Clean Energy has successfully developed a few solar projects, some of which include a 70 MWp solar farm in Maharashtra for First Solar, a 40 MWp project for ReNew Power in Karnataka, and a 50 MWp solar farm for Amplus Solar in Andhra Pradesh. Last year, Oriano constructed over 500 MWp of solar projects and is targeting the commissioning of more than 1 GWp in the current year.

There are several activities that Oriano will handle for this new project. Some of the activities include design, engineering, supply of balance-of-plant equipment, and managing installation. The company will also manage testing, commissioning, and civil construction work for the solar PV projects.

Started in 2015, the Yeshwant Rao and Lokendra Singh founded firm has emerged as a major EPC player in recent years, after a tentative start like most of its peers. From a portfolio of under 200 MW in 2019, it has done well to reach the GW plus status presently, built mostly around a focus on the C&I segment exclusively.  The firm has had a long association with Cleantech solar in particular, winning project work regularly from the larger developer.
