ONGC Issues Tender for a 5 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh By Ankur/ Updated On Fri, Nov 16th, 2018 ONGC tender document will be on sale from 10th November till 5th December. The bidding will take place on 5th December. Country’s leading stat-run oil giant, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has floated a tender for a 5 MW grid connected solar project which will be built at its Tatipaka site in Andhra Pradesh. The tender shows that the scope of work includes Design, Engineering, Procurement & Supply, Construction & Installation, Commissioning and Operation & Maintenance of 5 MW Solar Photovoltaic Grid-Connected Power Plant. The tender document will be on sale from 10th November till 5th December. The bidding will take place on the same day. The earnest money to be deposited for the tender has been set at Rs 48.2 lakh. The solar plant has been built to meet the Renewable Power obligation (RPO) of ONGC for Andhra Pradesh region and is intended for its captive power usage. This is also to fulfill country’s mission to achieve 100GW of solar energy by the year 2022 under the national solar mission. ONGC had earlier commissioned a solar power facility in Gujarat for its Dhaej, Gandhar & Hazira plant built by Vikram Solar. Vikram Solar will also provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) service to the plant for a period of three years from the date of commissioning. Also, the Company has recently concluded a 130 MW for NTPC at Bhadla (Rajasthan), 80 MW for GIPCL at Charanka (Gujarat), 40 MW for IL&FS at Kachaliya (Madhya Pradesh), and is known for its innovative projects and airport installations.
