The largest among them is a 600 MW Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) by OHPC in Kalahandi District. Three wind power projects amounting to 148.5 MW by ONGC Tripura Power Company Ltd (OTPCL) have been cleared too. They will be set up in Nawarangpur, Khordha, and Jagatsinghpur districts. These new projects will go a long way in achieving Odisha’s renewable energy goal of achieving 10 GW by 2030.

Setting the right goals for future investment in Odisha’s energy landscape, Principal Secretary to the Odisha Government’s Energy Department, Hemant Sharma chaired the meeting underlining these investments into a new phase for the state.

The green energy initiatives of the state envision clean energy infrastructures bringing a cleaner future to its people.
