NTPC Tenders for 130 kW Rooftop Solar Projects

NTPC has issued two tenders for setting up of solar rooftop projects worth a combined 130 kW capacity to be developed in Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

NTPC has issued two tenders, inviting bids from eligible bidders for setting up of grid-connected solar rooftop projects worth a combined 130 kW capacity to be developed in Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

The first tender has been issued for setting up of 100 kW rooftop solar PV systems at the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station (SSTPS) that is owned and operated by NTPC in Uttar Pradesh.  The rooftop systems will be developed as two different projects of 50 kW capacity each on pre-selected sites in the SSTPS township.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar projects. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plants from the date of successful commissioning.

The last date for bid submission is November 11, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on November 13, 2019. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 50 thousand along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder should have completed all tasks mentioned as per the scope of work for grid-connected power plants of cumulative installed capacity of 100 kWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 50 kWp or higher capacity. And, this reference plant should have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

Financially, the average annual turnover of the bidder, in the preceding three financial years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening, should not be less than Rs 47.84 lakh.

The second tender has been issued for the design, supply, erection and commissioning of a grid-connected rooftop solar system of 30 kW capacity at the VIP guest house of NTPC Koldam in Himachal Pradesh. The last date for bid submission on the tender is October 31, 2019.
