NTPC Issues Tender For 500 kW Rooftop Solar Projects

The Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (KBUN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC has issued a tender for the deployment of rooftop solar PV plants on various buildings of plant area of KBUN for the Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Project.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, supply, transportation, storage, insurance, associated civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems of the estimated capacity of 500 kW on the rooftop of the various building in the plant area. The project developers will also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plants for a period of 5 years from the date of the trial run of the projects.

The developers will have a period of 6 months or 180 days to complete the work on the project.

The last date of bid submission is May 8, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 10, 2019. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 5 lakhs along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of SPV based grid-connected power plant of at least one plant of 100 kW or above and cumulative capacity of 400 kW or above. The reference plant of 100 kW or above capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months from date of commissioning.

Financially, the average annual turnover of the bidder during the preceding three financial years ending with the financial year 2017-18 should not be less than Rs 2.73 crore.

Recently, NTPC Ltd. has issued a tender inviting bids from eligible bidders for the deployment of a 3 MW grid-connected solar PV power plant at NTPC-Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

The brief scope of work for selected bidder(s) will include the Design Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of the solar power plant at the NTPC campus. The developer will further also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for a period of 3 years from the date of commissioning.
