NTPC Subsidiary NVVN Tenders for 30 MW Solar Projects in Madhya Pradesh

NVVN, a subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender for commissioning of rooftop/ ground-mounted solar projects worth 30 MW in Madhya Pradesh.

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has issued a tender – inviting bids from eligible firms for the commissioning of rooftop/ ground-mounted/ elevated structure solar PV projects worth 30 MW across Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work for the selected developers will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 30 MW grid-connected solar PV projects at various locations across Madhya Pradesh on the basis of a single point responsibility, completely covering all the activities and services.

The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the projects for a period of 10 years from the date of successful commissioning.

Further, the successful bidder shall be exclusively responsible for preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) containing all aspects like design, commissioning and all other relevant activities like rooftop strength test, water arrangements, electricity, transportation required for setting up of the solar PV plants and for the O&M activities for 10 years.

NVVN intends to finance the subject package through external commercial borrowings/ domestic commercial borrowings / own sources.

The last date for bid submission is January 7, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 8, 2020. The date and time of opening of the price bids will be informed to the technically cleared bidders separately. Additionally, all bids must be accompanied by Bid Security for an amount of Rs 50 lakh.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process the bidder should have:

  1. designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of solar-based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 5 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 500 kW or higher capacity. The reference plant of 500 kW or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the techno-commercial bid opening date. 
  2. an average annual turnover not less than Rs 41 crore during the preceding three (3) financial years. 
  3. a net worth, as on the last day of the preceding financial year, not less than 100 percent of bidder’s paid-up share capital.

Recently, NVVN had issued another tender for the commissioning of a 3 MW grid-tied rooftop solar power plant at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. The last date for bid submission on this tender is January 5, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 6, 2020.
