NTPC REL Sets Sights on Procuring Land for 800 MW Solar Projects NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has floated a tender towards the procurement of land and an Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission system package for the development of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected 800 MW solar power projects in Maharashtra. The last date to submit bids is January 16, 2023. Bids open on the same day, that is, January 16, 2023. The proposed solar project will be established in Solapur and includes securing five acres per MW (either leasehold or freehold land). It is important to independently establish access roads to the project boundary and potential interconnections between plots, either through private means or in collaboration with state machinery. A comprehensive topography survey, entailing activities like cutting or filling to maintain a 10% average slope across the solar project land in one direction for at least 100 meters. Geotechnical investigations will focus on the transmission system for foundation design. Scope of Work NTPC Looks for Power Generators for Supply of 1500 MW Solar-Wind Projects Also Read The scope of work entails the set up of grid connectivity, designing and constructing the EHV transmission system up to the grid interconnection point, ensuring the ‘Right of Way,’ setting up a terminal bay, implementing a telemetry system, supplying necessary spares for the transmission line, and handling operation and maintenance for three years post-project commissioning. NTPC REL Floats Tender for BOS Package of 1110 MW Wind Project Also Read Funding for the specified package will be sourced from NTPC REL’s internal resources or through borrowings. Eligibility Bidders must have experience in executing works for grid connected solar projects/solar parks or wind projects/wind parks with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW or higher. Among them, at least one should have a capacity of 50 MW or more. This experience should encompass tasks such as securing land for the project and obtaining technical feasibility approval for power evacuation through a state transmission utility or ISTS substation. To meet financial requirements as mentioned in the tender document, for capacities exceeding 300 MW, the required average annual turnover is INR 270,000/MW of the total quoted capacity. A few months ago, NTPC REL had issued a tender for land and EHV transmission system package for development of upto 2 GW ISTS connected solar PV projects in Rajasthan (tranche-III) (Domestic Competitive Bidding).
