NTPC REL Issues Tender To Build 110 MW Wind Project in Khavda By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Mon, Feb 17th, 2025 Highlights : It has sought bids for the project up till March 25th, 2025. NTPC REL NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), has issued a tender to install Wind Turbine Generators for a 110 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS-Connected) wind energy project. NTPC’s renewable energy arm is set to develop this project at Khavda NTPC RE Park. It has sought bids for the project up till March 25th, 2025. NTPC REL tender in its tender mentioned that the project developer would be responsible for undertaking the detailed design, micro-siting, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of the latest RLMM-listed Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) within the wind farm. The tender added, “The project would use any rating of 3.0 MW or higher in Wind Energy Project with a Nominal Capacity of 110MW at Khavda, NTPC RE Park, Gujarat.” The tender mentioned that the wind farm would include a minimum capacity of 95MW. It added, “The developer would be responsible for establishing the guaranteed performance parameters for the entire Wind Power Project. It places the onus on the developer to install the offered Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) along with Control Panels, SCADA with Controls and Systems Software, etc. These projects would be located at NTPC REL Pooling.” According to the tender, the bidder should be a manufacturer of an approved Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) model of a minimum rating of 3000 kW in the latest RLMM list (Revised List of Models and Manufactures issued by MNRE) before the date of techno-commercial bid opening. Wind Energy Projects Across India Earlier this year, SJVN awarded Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) and UPC Renewables its 600 MW wind energy project. According to the tender results, SJVN awarded a 170 MW project out of the total 600 MW wind project. As per the tender announcement, Adyant Enersol secured a 70 MW wind project at a tariff of ₹3.98/kWh, while UPC Renewables won a 100 MW wind project at ₹3.99/kWh. The relatively high prices are probably a reason why SJVN did not go beyond 170 MW for awarding the tender.
