NTPC REL Issues 900 MW Wind Energy Tender At Andhra Pradesh With BoS Package By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Mar 3rd, 2025 Highlights : It is accepting bids until April 3, 2025. NTPC REL NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender for the Balance of System (BoS) package of an ISTS-connected wind energy project with a nominal capacity of 900 MW at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. It is accepting bids until April 3, 2025. NTPC REL, in its brief scope of work, mentions that the bidder is expected to undertake “detailed EPC activities, micro-siting, and proving the guaranteed performance parameters for the installation of the offered wind farm, starting from 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station (CMCS), wind monitoring mast(s), and external EHV transmission line up to the ISTS substation, etc. (Supply, civil works, and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), unit substation & SCADA are not in the scope of the Wind BoS package).” The NTPC REL tender also mandates that the wind project proposed by the bidder should be compatible with the installation of any WTG of size ranging from 3.0 MW to a higher WTG machine size available in the market. The WTG machine is also expected to be listed in RLMM. Scope of Work The tender, in its scope of work, mentions, “The bidder is expected to have successfully operated for at least one year for industrial projects outside the renewable energy (RE) sector, i.e., solar/wind, and at least six months for projects within the RE sector (i.e., solar/wind).” The tender also mandates that the bidder must have executed at least one electrical substation of 33kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and a power transformer, either as a developer or an EPC contractor, which should have been in successful operation for at least one year or six months before the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
