NTPC-REL Floats 1.4 GW Tender To Build UP Solar Parks Project By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Tue, Dec 24th, 2024 Highlights : It sought bids till 13th January 2025. NTPC-REL NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, has issued a tender to develop a 1,400 MW grid-connected solar project in two solar parks, namely Lalitpur (2×300 MW) and Chitrakoot (2×400 MW), in Uttar Pradesh (UP). The tender invites bids until January 13, 2025. The tender offers a Balance of System (BoS) package for constructing solar projects in Lalitpur and Chitrakoot Solar Parks, developed by TUSCO in Uttar Pradesh. The selected bidder will design and commission the solar plants, excluding the supply of solar PV modules, which will be provided by NTPC REL as a free-issue item. The scope of work includes the design and construction of foundations and the erection of fixed-tilt module mounting structures (MMS) for SPV panels with a DC: AC ratio of 1.45. This includes fixing the PV modules and interconnecting them. The bidder will also design and install a module cleaning system using the robotic dry-cleaning method, including the supply and installation of all required accessories. Additionally, the bidder will undertake all associated electrical and civil works to interface with the grid, such as transformers, panels, protection systems, cables, and metering at the 33kV level. The tender requires the bidder to conduct a grid compliance study as per regulations. The bidder will also evacuate power to the 33kV switchgear of the substation provided by the owner through 33kV cables and install SCADA, PPC panels, and associated equipment in the main control room. The scope further includes designing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning dynamic reactive power compensation equipment (20%) and all other equipment required for power quality control. This includes harmonic filters and flicker compensators to comply with grid connectivity regulations. The tender mandates compliance with the “Report of the Working Group in respect of Data Submission Procedure and Verification of Compliance to CEA Regulations on Technical Standards for Connectivity to the Grid by RE Generators, July 2022.” The grid compliance study will be conducted by the owner, based on inputs provided by the bidder.
