NTPC REL Floats Tender for BOS Package of 1200 MW Wind Projects

The renewable energy arm of NTPC, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited online bids from eligible bidders on single stage two envelope, (viz. envelope-I: techno-commercial bid and envelope-II: price bid) for land and power evacuation package for the development of 900 MW ISTS connected solar PV projects in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh with the green shoe option of 300 MW.

Brief scope of work
The scope of work includes land related works, such as the arrangement of government/private land (5 acres/MW) on freehold/leasehold basis near Kurnool ISTS substation, Andhra Pradesh. The lease period shall be a minimum of 30 years. It will also include the topography survey for land parcels and any cutting / filling with 95% compaction as per standard proctor density test, to maintain an average slope of 10% for solar project land for installation of tracker-based MMS, the NTPC REL tender said.

The last date for receipt of bids comprising both techno-commercial bid and price bid is December 18, 2023. Techno-commercial bid opens on December 18, 2023.

To qualify technically for the NTPC REL tender, the bidder should have executed grid connected solar PV projects/solar parks or wind projects/wind parks or combination thereof, of cumulative capacity of 100 MW or higher, out of which at least one project/ park should be of 50 MW or higher capacity.

The NTPC REL tender has also specified the financial requirements for the bidder, for any three (03) financial years out of the preceding five (05) financial years as on date of techno commercial bid opening. For the total quoted capacity of 50 MW to 300 MW, the minimum financial figure should be INR 19.47 Crores. For capacity greater than 300 MW, it is INR 6.49 lakhs per MW, the NTPC REL tender said.

NTPC REL has been proactively issuing a series of significant tenders. Earlier, it issued a tender for the installation of wind turbine generators for ISTS connected wind energy project with nominal capacity of 1000 MW in Gujarat (up to 370 WTG). NTPC REL also issued a tender inviting bids from eligible bidders on single stage two-envelope (including techno-commercial bid and price bid) basis for balance of system package of ISTS connected wind energy project with nominal capacity of 1080 MW in Karnataka.
