NTPC Launches 3022 Internships Under PM Internship Scheme 2025

In a significant move towards youth empowerment, NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility, has unveiled an ambitious internship program offering 3,022 paid positions under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025. This extensive initiative spans 43 districts across 21 states, marking one of the largest corporate internships drives in the country.

The program encompasses more than 300 diverse roles, providing opportunities in critical sectors such as Power Plant Operations & Maintenance, Construction, Data Entry Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Human Resources. This wide-ranging exposure aims to provide comprehensive industry experience to aspiring professionals.

Setting new standards in intern welfare, NTPC has gone beyond mandatory benefits to offer additional perks including safety equipment, group personal insurance coverage, and meal provisions – creating an ecosystem that prioritizes their well-being and professional development.

As the leading power generation firm in the country, the move by NTPC comes at a critical time for graduates looking to the power sector as a career. Not only are the country’s energy requirements set to boom, but India is fortunate to have an expansion underway across the power segment, be it generation, manufacturing or services. NTPC, which straddles across almost all key segments, offers a wonderful opportunity for interested students to get exposure and seek a long term career in the power sector.

One also hopes other firms in the sector shall follow NTPC’s example, and potentially offer upto 10,000 internships for the segment itself this year. It is not an impossible target by any stretch of the imagination, considering the dynamism in the sector.
