NTPC Issues Tender for O&M of Solar Plants up to 50 MW

NTPC REL Issues Tender for Substation Pkg for 630 MW Solar Park

The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has issued a tender for outsourcing its operation and maintenance of solar power plants up to 50 Megawatt (MW).

The leading power producer of India has kept the closing date for the bid to June 29, 2023. The bidders can submit their bids by June 29, 2023. It has also stipulated some technical criteria for the bidders. The technical criteria for the bid is the erection and commissioning of 10 MWp or above capacity solar power plant, having connectivity with the grid, during the last five years from the date of application. Or operation and maintenance of 10 MWp or above the capacity of the solar power plant, having connectivity with the grid, in a single order for at least one year, during the last five years (05) from the date of application.

The financial criteria are that the net worth of the bidder as of the last day of the preceding financial year (reckoned as on the date of application submission) should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital. 

In case the bidder does not satisfy the net worth criteria on its own, it can meet the requirement of net worth based on the strength of its subsidiary(ies) and/or holding company and/or subsidiary(ies) of its holding companies wherever applicable. The net worth of the bidder and its subsidiary(ies) and or holding company and/or subsidiary(ies) of the holding company, in a combined manner, should not be less than 100% of their total paid-up share capital. However, individually, their net worth should not be less than 75% of their respective paid-up share capitals.

Recently, NTPC said it would conduct a feasibility study for a 130 MW floating solar power plant on Dumbur Lake, which falls in the Gomati district of Tripura.
