NTPC Issues BoS Tender For 1.5 GW Of Solar Project At Bikaner

NTPC Renewable Energy has recently released a tender to develop a 1.5 GW grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan. It issued this tender through a joint venture with NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL). The tender offers a ‘Balance of System Package’ to develop the project at RVUNL’s Solar Park in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The last date for the bid submission is January 10, 2025.

“NTPC GREEN ENERGY LIMITED (NGEL), on behalf of Joint Venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL), invites online bids on Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding basis (Envelope I: Techno-Commercial Bid & Envelope II: Price Bid) followed by Reverse Auction from eligible bidders for ‘Balance of system package for development of 1500 MW grid-connected solar PV projects at RVUNL’s Solar Park in Bikaner, Rajasthan,” the tender read.

Bikaner Emerges As New RE Hotbed

Bikaner district in the state is already known to harness several mega solar projects. One among them is India’s largest single-location solar park of Bhadla which has a capacity of around 2.2 GW. After Khavda, Bikaner has emerged as one of the hotbeds for renewable energy investments. Earlier this year, companies such as Waaree Energies secured a 90 MW project in the state to supply 540/545 Wp dual-glass bifacial modules to Juniper Green for their solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
