NTPC Invites Bids for 260 MW Solar O&M Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Limited has invited e-bids for the comprehensive operation and management of its 260 MWp Bhadla solar PV plant in Rajasthan for three years. The deadline for bid submission is January 19, 2022. Bid opening is scheduled for January 21.

The company has invited online bids on Single Stage Two Envelope Bidding basis (Envelope-I: Techno-commercial Bid & Envelope-II: Price Bid) from eligible bidders for the project. NTPC intends to finance the Rajasthan plant through domestic commercial
borrowings/own sources.

Key details of the tender are as follows:

  • Cost of Bidding Documents: INR 10,620
  • Benefit to MSME: Applicable
  • Contract Period: 36 months
  • Bid Validity: 180 days
  • All bids must be accompanied by tender fees, bid security declaration, and integrity pact.

Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

Technical Criteria:

  • The bidder should have executed contract for Installation & Commissioning of at least one 150 MWp or above capacity grid-connected solar power plant during the preceding 7 years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
    OR
    The bidder should have executed contract for Operation & Maintenance of at least one 150 MWp or above capacity grid-connected solar power plant for at least one year during the preceding 7 years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

Financial Criteria:

  • The average annual turnover of the bidder, should not be less than Rs. 930 Lacs during the preceding 3 completed financial years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
  • The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year (reckoned on the date of techno-commercial bid opening) should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.

Recently, NTPC Ltd. received a letter of appreciation from Ms. Damilola Ogunbiyi, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All and UN-Energy Co-Chair, for the company’s efforts and commitments towards the process of Energy Compact. In the letter, UN-Energy has acknowledged the commitment of NTPC towards clean energy and welcomed NTPC to into the Energy Compact Action Network, the company announced.
