NTPC Invites Bids for 100 MW Floating Solar Project in Telangana By Ankur/ Updated On Tue, Dec 18th, 2018 The floating solar tender is a part of NTPC’s effort to ramp up its solar capacity which is currently at 870 MW. National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), India’s largest power generator has invited bids for the development of a 100 MW Floating Solar PV Project at NTPC’s thermal power plant in Ramagundam, Telangana. The closing date for the sale of tender document is January 10, 2018. The tender which was published today, is a part of NTPC’s effort to ramp up its solar capacity which is currently at 870 MW. Yesterday NTPC issued a similar tender for a 25 MW floating solar project at NTPC’s site in Andhra Pradesh. The government has set a target for installing 175 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by the year 2022, which includes 100 GW from solar, 60 GW from wind, 10 GW from Biomass and 5 GW from Small Hydro power.
