NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has invited online bids for conducting a geotechnical investigation for the company’s 105 MW and 220 MW solar PV projects situated in Shajapur district, Madhya Pradesh.

The deadline for bid submission is December 24, 3:00 PM. The bids will open on the same day at 3:30 PM. Any clarifications needed are to be sorted out from December 15, 11:30 AM, to December 21, 4:00 PM. The bids are invited on single stage composite bidding basis (techno-commercial bid & price bid).

Applicants aren’t required to pay any EMD or tender fee. The bids for the project, which is to be completed within 42 days from the date of the letter of award, will be valid for 180 days. The pre-bid meeting date isn’t available as yet.

All bids must be accompanied by “Bid Security Declaration” in lieu of bid security in the form. “Any bid not accompanied by an acceptable “Bid Security Declaration” (to be accepted on the e-tendering portal) shall be rejected by the employer as being non-responsive and shall not be processed further,” states the tender document.

The document also makes clear that the complete field and laboratory work is to be supervised by a post-graduate in geotechnical engineering who has at least five years of experience in the field of geotechnical investigation work. Additionally, an experienced (5 years minimum) geotechnical engineering post-graduate is required to schedule laboratory tests, analyse them, interpret test results, and draft the report.

In awarding contracts for the Shajapur solar projects, NTPC REL Ltd will give preference to micro and small enterprises (MSEs). In the event of L1 bidder not being an MSE, all MSE vendors who submitted bids within the range of L1 + 15% will be allowed, as per their ranking, to lower their price to match the L1 price  in order of their ranking to bring down their price to match the L1 price.
