NTPC Enlisting EPC Vendors for Floating & Ground Mounted Solar Projects

NTPC Ltd has issued an NIA for the enlistment of EPC Vendors for the development of floating or ground-mounted solar power projects of NTPC.

NTPC Ltd has issued a Notice Inviting Applications (NIA), inviting applications from eligible firms for the enlistment of EPC Vendors for the development of floating or ground-mounted solar power projects of NTPC.

The scope of work to be executed by the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of grid-connected floating and/or ground-mounted solar PV projects (to be awarded to multiple/single bidders) on turnkey basis. The vendors will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant and the transmission system for a period of 3 years from the date of successful completion of the trial run.

The developers will also be required to conduct the topographical survey and geotechnical investigation of the land and bathymetry survey of water body (for floating solar projects), and design and construction of foundation & mounting structure for SPV panels.

The last date for submission of applications is September 16, 2020, and the applications will be opened for review on September 17, 2020.

To be eligible, the applicant should have designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of the grid-connected solar plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the last date of submission of application for enlistment.

Financially, the average annual turnover of the applicant, should not be less than Rs 200 crore during the preceding three financial years to the last date of submission of application for enlistment.

The NIA also states that all EPC vendors who have been previously enlisted by the NTPC and are interested in being enlisted for this are also required to submit the fresh application for enlistment.
