EG Solwin, Welspun, NLC, & Adani Bag NTPC’s 1.2 GW Hybrid Projects By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Tue, Mar 18th, 2025 Highlights : The lowest tariff came in at Rs 3.35/kWh EG Solwin, Welspun, NLC, & Adani Bag NTPC's 1.2 GW Hybrid Projects NTPC has awarded 1.2 GW of wind-solar hybrid power projects to EG Solwin Renewable for 300 MW, Welspun Renewable Energy 250 MW project, NLC India 450 MW hybrid project, and Adani Renewable Energy secured 600 MW project. The tender allocated the project to EG Solwin, Welspun Renewable Energy, and NLC India at the lowest tariff of Rs. 3.35/kWh. On the other hand, Adani Renewable Energy Holding received the project at a higher tariff of Rs. 3.36/kWh. This project comes with a greenshoe option of up to 600 MW. NTPC released the tender for this hybrid project in August 2024, and the results were declared within seven months. The tender for that project was awarded to four renewable project developers: Sembcorp Green Infra, Adani Renewable Energy, Green Prairie Energy III (EverGreen), Adyant Ensersol (Datta Infra), and ReNew Solar. As per the auction results, Sembcorp, Adani Renewable, and ReNew Power secured projects at ₹3.29/kWh, with capacities of 300 MW, 600 MW, and 30 MW, respectively. Meanwhile, Green Prairie Energy III (EverGreen) and Adyant Ensersol (Datta Infra) were awarded 200 MW and 70 MW projects at a slightly lower tariff of ₹3.28/kWh.
