The Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has tendered solar PV projects with a capacity of 709 MW (AC) in the state of Tamil Nadu. The 709 MW solar power projects will have a minimum size of 50 MW (AC) capacity in a single site and must be commissioned 12 months from the date of the Letter of Award. The bid submission deadline is 4th September, 2017. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, inspection at supplier’s works, supply insurance, transport, storage, erection, testing and commissioning, as well as performing O&M services for a period of 15 years after a one-year warranty period. NLC has issued various other solar tenders in Tamil Nadu, and recently came away from Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation’s (TANGEDCO) 1.5 GW auction with up to 449 MW of capacity awarded.
