NLC India, Adyant Secure SJVN Wind Project NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna company under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, received a Letter of Award (LoA) for a 200 MW Wind Power Project from SJVN Limited at a tariff of Rs. 3.74/kWh. Meanwhile, Adyant Enersol secured a 112 MW wind project at a tariff rate of Rs. 3.81/kWh. NLC India Limited emerged successful in the reverse auction conducted by SJVN Limited on 17 January 2025. NLCIL Wind Power Capacity reached 301 MW after this award. The latest win aligns with its company’s goal to achieve 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. NLCIL’s renewable energy journey began in 2013 with a 51 MW wind project. This latest win marks a significant expansion of its wind energy portfolio, increasing its total wind power capacity to over 300 MW. The execution of this project will be carried out in compliance with the stipulated timelines outlined in the tender, and NLCIL remains committed to delivering clean energy solutions with efficiency and excellence. Previous Tender A Brief Comparison SJVN awarded its latest project at a lower tariff than its previous 600 MW wind tender. In that tender, 170 MW of the total 600 MW capacity was allocated at a tariff of Rs. 3.98 per kWh. In comparison, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) wind tender, which was awarded at even lower rates to Juniper Green Energy at Rs. 3.56 per kWh for 50 MW. Other winners of the project were RIH Renewables, which was awarded 40 MW at Rs. 3.59 per kWh.
