NITI Aayog asked for detailed report on renewable energy sector

Joint Secretary and Advisor (Energy), NITI Aayog Anil Kumar Jain in a meeting on Friday with A.P Government Principal Secretary (energy) Ajay Jain, AP-Transco CMD K. Vijayanand, Joint Managing Director Dinesh Paruchuri and A.P Solar Power Corporation MD G. Adiseshu and NREDCAP MD M. Kamalakar Babu discussed the best practices in the field of energy conservation and efficiency in Andhra Pradesh (A.P).

According to The Hindu Anil Jain appreciated the Andhra Pradesh government for its initiatives in energy efficiency , he also sought for details report in two months on the measures that would help the states to achieve similar result like AP-Genco, AP-Transco and DISCOMS.

Jain in his presentation said that the state targeted to generate 10000MW by 2019 and 18000MW by 2022 with the help of EESL and other stake holders.
