NISE to conduct a One Day Workshop on Standards for Solar PV Modules By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Sep 5th, 2016 The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is an autonomous institute under MNRE, Government of India, and it specializes in facilitating research & development, certification, testing, skill development activities in the field of solar energy technologies. Under the joint initiative of NISE and PTB-Germany, the institute is conducting a workshop on “Standards for Solar PV Modules” on September 14, 2016 at National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Gwalpahari, Gurgaon. The primary objective of the workshop is to create the awareness on the standards related to Solar PV panels and the testing methods used for these standards among the solar experts from PV panel manufacturers and standards framing organizations to mitigate failure risks to support India’s 100 GW solar target. Moreover, the NISE and PTB are jointly implementing a project named “Strengthening Quality Infrastructure for the Solar Industry in India” which aims at improving the scope and increasing the use of quality infrastructure (QI) services needed for assuring the quality and reliability of solar energy systems by taking into account international good practices. Who can participate? Representatives from Module Manufacturing organizations and Solar PV Testing labs and Standard framing organizations. The workshop starts from 14th September, 2016. To register for the workshop, request may be sent along with participant’s details i.e. Name, Designation, Organization name, Contact Number and E-mail ID to [email protected] (Dr. Saurabh Kumar, National Project Consultant-PTB) by 9th September 2016.
