The ministry today announced the appointment of Nidhi Khare as its new secretary. The ministry in a statement informed about the new appointment. She was today seen taking over the charge at the MNRE office. She was given the additional charge of MNRE on January 14 till further appointment is made. “Today, Smt. Nidhi Khare, IAS took charge as the new Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and was warmly welcomed by the officers and staff. In her first official interaction, Sudeep Jain (Additional Secretary) and Lalit Bohra (Joint Secretary) presented a comprehensive overview of the ministry’s ongoing projects and the progress of various schemes under MNRE,” the ministry said. MNRE said that during the session, Secretary Khare outlined her key priorities: Accelerating R&D to drive innovation in the renewable energy sector. Ensuring the successful implementation of financial and physical targets for all MNRE schemes and programmes. Focusing on quality and standards to build a robust and sustainable renewable energy infrastructure. Encouraging the team to think outside the box, develop indigenous capabilities, and simplify processes to make technological advancements accessible to the common man. With a clear vision and a collaborative approach, Secretary Khare is poised to steer MNRE towards new milestones, empowering India’s renewable energy future, the ministry said.
