NHPC Issues Tender To Develop Rooftop Solar In Northeast

NHPC intends to develop rooftop solar power projects on Zone-IV  (North East Power Stations) buildings under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Bidders must submit their bids by January 15, 2025.

The bids are valid for 120 days from the last date of online submission. The tender mandates that the rooftop solar project under the PM Surya Ghar scheme be developed within nine months from the award date. For the O&M part, the project must be completed within five years from commissioning.

Qualifications

The tender mandates the bidders to meet the technical criteria of designing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) grid-connected power plants with a cumulative installed capacity of 400 kWp or higher, including at least one plant of 40 kWp or more.

Bidders must be developers of SPV grid-connected power plants with a cumulative installed capacity of 400 kWp or higher, including at least one plant of 40 kWp or more. They must have experience in the last 10 years either as developers or EPC contractors in the process industry or infrastructure development, with a single project valued at a minimum of Rs. 4.0 Crores.

Bidders must have executed at least one electrical substation of 11 kV or higher voltage, including equipment such as 11 kV or higher voltage circuit breakers and power transformers, either as developers or EPC contractors, commissioned by the bid submission date.

The tender requires bidders to have an average annual turnover of at least Rs. 2.17 crore over the preceding three years in Zone-IV. The bidder also must have a working capital of Rs. 1.21 crore to develop the project under Zone-IV.

The bidder also should have executed either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the process industry or infrastructure development of a single work having Rs. 4.0 Crores in the last 10 years
