NHPC NHPC has connected the 300 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project, in Rajasthan with ISTS and started injecting 31 MW of power into the grid on March 31, 2025, said the company. NHPC said in a regulatory filing, “The commercial declaration of the part capacity of 100 MW in phases shall be intimated in due course. The complete 300 MW Solar Project will likely be commissioned by August 31, 2025.” NHPC Advances Solar Projects, Eyes 2025 Commissioning NHPC, in its regulatory filing, while sharing its half-yearly financial results for the period ending September 2024, stated, “In respect of the 1,000 MW capacity Solar Power Projects allotted under CPSU Scheme-II, work is progressing well on 300 MW.” As of the quarter ending November 8, 2024, NHPC announced that it had awarded the EPC contract for a 200 MW grid-connected solar power project (Stage-I) at the 600 MW Solar Park in Khavda, Gujarat, to M/s Apollo Green Energy Limited on August 5, 2024. The project, with an estimated cost of ₹929 crore, has a tariff of ₹2.73 per unit and is expected to be commissioned by August 2025. Additionally, in 2024, NHPC announced that it had awarded the EPC contract for a 50 MW floating solar power project in Kerala’s West Kallada district to M/s Apollo Green Energy Limited on July 26, 2024. A key milestone was reached on September 7, 2024, when NHPC executed a lease deed with the concerned agency in Kerala, representing local land and water body owners, for the transfer of the water body.
