NHPC Awards Contracts For CPSU 1000 MW Solar Projects By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, May 13th, 2022 NHPC Hydro energy major NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation), which had been allotted a 1000 MW Capacity Solar Power Project in the Phase II, Tranche III auction back in September 2021, has finally completed the award of contracts for the project. NHPC had won with a Viability Gap Funding (VGF) of Rs. 44.90 Lakh/MW in the e-Reverse auction conducted by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) on 23.09.2021. The tender was invited by IREDA for the Selection of Solar Power Developers for the setting up of aggregate 5000 MW Grid Connectivity Solar PV Power Projects in India. It had received responses totaling 6960 MW from various PSU’s. NHPC Limited has awarded EPC Contracts for the Grid connected Solar PV Project (1000 MW Capacity) and transmission line for Power Evacuation to ISTS Sub Station alongwith Comprehensive O&M for 5 Years under Tranche-III of CPSU Scheme Phase II. Letters of Award have been issued with a cumulative contract price of Rs.6604.42 Crore and completion period of 18 months: (i) M/s Adani Infra (India) Limited for 600 MW Capacity with total Contract Price of Rs.4295.64 Crore in the State of Gujarat. (ii) M/s Tata Power Solar Systems Limited for 300 MW Capacity with total Contract Price of Rs.1731.57 Crore in the State of Rajasthan. (iii) M/s SSEL-ASR JV for 100 MW Capacity with total Contract Price of Rs.577.21 Crore in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
