NTPC REL Issues Tender for Substation Pkg for 630 MW Solar Park NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of India’s largest power utility NTPC, has issued a tender to appoint a consultant and hire a designated operational entity (DOE) for the validation and verification of a 50 MW solar project in Rajgarh, Rajasthan. This also entails the renewal of the project for an additional seven years to continue clean development mechanism (CDM) benefits and carbon credits. The last date to submit bids is September 25, 2023. Bids open on September 26, 2023. The consultant will be responsible for selecting the auditor/ verifier/ DOE for this project from the list of auditors/ verifiers approved by the UNFCC Board. The scope of work entails comprehensive assistance in verifying the 50 MW Rajgarh Solar Project. After verification, a report on certified emission reductions must be submitted to the CDM Board. The consultant will offer technical support during verification, which follows approved project documentation and procedures. There is no EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) for the tender. Earlier in the year, NTPC transferred 15 renewable energy assets worth Rs 10,0066.99 cr to its wholly-owned subsidiary, NGEL (NTPC Green Energy Ltd). The transfer was achieved under a Business Transfer Agreement under the aegis of the National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) of Government of India.
