NGEL NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) an umbrella company for the green business initiatives of NTPC recently issued a tender to procure spare inverters for the Ettayapuram Solar Plant. This project aims to develop a 230 MW grid-connected solar project. The project falls under the CPSU Scheme Phase II (Tranche-II). The project is located in Ettayapuram, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, and the bid submission deadline is January 27, 2025. The NGEL tender stated, “To develop the project, the bidder is expected to execute work strictly as per the specifications and time schedule stipulated in the tender documents. In case of delays in completing the job as per the schedule, liquidated damages for delay at 0.5% per week, subject to a maximum of 5% of the award value, would be deducted from the supplier’s bill.” It also specifies: “The project is to be completed within 90 days from the date of the specific purchase order or as required by the NGEL station. The project carries a guaranteed warranty of 12 months from the date of supply.” The tender’s scope of work outlines NGEL tender mentioned, “The goods and related services to be supplied would be as specified in the technical specification and price schedule. The supplier will be provided with all the goods and related services included in the scope of supply as per the delivery and completion schedule specified in the SPC.” The tender added, “Additionally, the supplier must ensure that the goods and related services comply with the technical specifications and other provisions of the contract. Whereas, the goods and related services supplied under this contract are expected to conform to the standards mentioned in the technical specifications. In the event of the supplier’s failure to deliver materials of acceptable quality within the stipulated delivery period, liquidated damages will be payable by the supplier at 0.5% per week of delay or part thereof, based on the unexecuted order value.
