BrightNight, Cordelio Power Sign PPA To Supply Renewable Energy To Arizona

BrightNight, a global renewable power producer, and Cordelio Power entered into a new power purchase agreement with Arizona Public Service (APS), an electricity provider in Arizona.

Under the agreement, APS will purchase carbon-free energy from BrightNight and Cordelio’s Pioneer Clean Energy Center, a hybrid 300-megawatt solar and 1200-megawatt-hour battery energy storage facility in Yuma County, Arizona. The Pioneer project will deliver reliable, affordable, and clean electricity to APS customers.

Iberdrola, Amazon Partner To Harness AWS Cloud To Scale RE Business

Amazon and Iberdrola, have added 476 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy PPAs (power purchase agreements) to their global renewable energy partnership, expanding its presence into five countries.  The new power purchase agreements include Amazon’s first PPA in Portugal for 219 MW from the Tâmega Wind Complex, the largest wind farm in Portugal, scheduled to begin construction in early 2025. The partnership also expanded into Spain, with two utility-scale PPAs agreed for a total of 257 MW of solar and wind energy. The three projects are equivalent to 1,093 GWh of carbon-free electricity per year, enough to power the equivalent of around 300,000 homes per year.

Eco Wave Power To Set To Build Wave’s First Energy Pilot Project In Maharashtra

Eco Wave Power Global, an onshore wave energy technology developer, will sign its first collaboration agreement with a Fortune 500 Indian company for a pilot project in Maharashtra, India. This agreement marks a historic milestone in integrating wave energy into India’s renewable energy strategy.

Inna Braverman, Founder and CEO of Eco Wave Power, commented, “With a coastline of 7,516 km and over 250 million people living along the shore, India has a unique opportunity to place wave energy at the forefront of its renewable energy strategy.”
