Hiten Parekh quits Navitas Solar to join O2 Power

In what the firm is terming a long-term strategic move, Surat-based solar module manufacturing company, Navitas Solar has onboarded Hiten Parekh as its Chief Business Officer.

Parekh professional experience includes 24 years spent in both India and abroad in various industries. He has ten years of industry experience in the solar sector. He brings to the table rich and profound experience and expertise in business development and brand management to Navitas Solar.

The new CBO has extensive expertise in scaling up solar businesses in the United States, Africa, and Europe. Having  been a part of the solar industry since early 1999, Parekh has executed solar projects of close to 1350 MW that entails ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems.

With experience in both the solar EPC and solar module manufacturing industries, Parekh will find it easier to cement the gap between the two sectors.

His perseverance in the solar industry, has earned Parekh the reputation of top 40 leaders under 40. He is also considered among the top 100 solar industry leaders in India. He had won both the awards in 2018. In January 2020, he won the Grand Master Award at India Solar Rooftop Congress as a Young Achiever of the Year.

Navitas Solar maintans that the CBO’s experiences demonstrate that he has a genuine battling spirit. Navitas Solar plans to establish a new 3 GW PA manufacturing line and Parekh’s participation in Navitas’ expansion journey will be of great assistance, says the firm.
