National Thermal Power Corp Floats Two Tenders for Solar Cold Storages & Solar Water Pumps

National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has invited bids for two solar tender including solar-powered cold storage & solar-powered water pumps. Installation and Commissioning work of solar-powered cold storage will be in Senegal, Djibouti, Sudan, and Seychelles & solar-powered water pumps will be in Burundi, Ethiopia, Suriname, Mozambique, and Cuba.

The last date to submit the bid for the solar-powered cold storage tender is July 25, 2022, till 2:30 pm. Bids will be opened on July 26, at 3:00 pm.

The last date to submit the bid for the solar-powered water pumps tender is August 01, 2022, till 3:30 pm. Bids will be opened on August 02, at 3:00 pm.

Scope Of Work For Solar-Powered Cold Storage Tender

This tender has included design, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, pre-shipment testing at manufacturer’s works, proper packing for transportation, transportation along with transit insurance, delivery at the plant site, unloading, storage, installation, interconnection with related equipment, calibration, testing, commissioning to a fully operational condition as covered under this specification.

Eligibility Criteria For Bidders

The cost of the bidder’s participation in this National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) solar tender, including the cost of the bid materials and bid security, is zero.

The average annual turnover of the Bidder, should not be less than 100000 Dollars (USD) during the preceding three financial years as of the date of bid opening. Interested Bidder should have supplied, installed/got installed, and commissioned Solar cold storage of a total cumulative capacity of 25 MT. The reference plants with a cumulative minimum capacity of 10 MT must have been in successful operation for at least one year from the date of commissioning before the techno-commercial bid opening date. 

The winning bidder for each project will have to submit the performance securities amount for 10% of the Contract Price for each Project within 28 days of receipt of the Letter of Award.

Each solar module must have a capacity of at least 300 Wp, and no string of the inverter may have any negative tolerance from the solar modules’ stated power ratings.

The peak output watt capacity of the solar modules that will be used for the projects must be warranted and should not be less than 90% after 10 years and 80% after 25 years.

Scope Of Work For Solar-Powered Water Pumps Tender

This tender has included the supply, installation, and commissioning of Solar Water Pumping solutions in Burundi, Ethiopia, Suriname, Mozambique, and Cuba. The scope includes a one-year standard warranty also given by the awarded bidder.

Eligibility Criteria For The Bidders

The bidder should have supplied, installed/got installed, and commissioned Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based solar water pump with a total cumulative capacity of 30 HP. The reference plant with a cumulative minimum capacity of 20 HP must have been in successful operation for at least one year after commissioning before the techno-commercial bid opening date.
