N-TOPCon Modules Manufacturer Saatvik Solar Gets BIS Certification

Solar Module manufacturer Saatvik Solar announced that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has granted approval for India’s 16 BB Bifacial N-TOPCon Module. This additional certification covers Saatvik’s PV modules to high-efficiency solar solutions, catering to the growing demand for advanced photovoltaic technology and performance standards for the power output warranty period, said the company in a press statement.

According to the press statement, the newly approved Bifacial N-TOPCon module boasts superior efficiency compared to traditional solar panels. With a power output of 570 Wp to 625 Wp. It delivers higher efficiency, maximizing energy generation per unit area. This will reduce installation costs, and increase power generation for homes and businesses.

Last year, while launching the n-TOPCon module, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Solar said, “We are launching n-TOPCon, which is the latest solar technology. So, from p-type MONO-PERC last year, we now have TOPCon technology. We also have undertaken major expansion in EPC and IPP business. We consider ourselves an all-rounder for this industry because we not only manufacture solar panels but also look after EPC and IPP business.”

Recently, Solar PV modules manufacturer Waaree Energies Limited announced that it has obtained certification for Topcon Modules from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The certification is meant specifically for glass to backsheet, with a capacity of up to 625Wp. The certification falls under the category of “Crystalline Silicon Terrestrial Photovoltaic (PV) Modules (Si wafer-based).
