In a bid to enhance its application of innovation and technology in providing value added benefits to its customers, Tata Power has partnered with Vodafone to facilitate electricity bill payments at Vodafone Mini stores. Tata Power consumers will have the option of paying electricity bills through Vodafone’s M-Pesa e-wallet. Being the first power utility of Mumbai to offer such bill transactions, the company has tried to enable instant and easy cash payment of power supply bills. The facility can be availed at all the 150 plus conveniently located Vodafone mini stores across Mumbai. The leading power utility company declares the initiative of bill payments to be in line with the Government of India’s initiative ‘Digital India’. Leaving no stone upturned, the company has enabled the feature of digital bill payment even on the non-smart phones. Besides digital payments, consumers can directly walk into any of the Vodafone mini stores and pay the electricity bills according to their bill receipts.
