MSEDCL Invites RFS for 500 MW Wind Solar Hybrid Projects

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) has invited RFS (request for selection) for 500 MW of solar wind hybrid project tender on a long-term basis. In this tender, the power will be purchased through a competitive bidding process from this 500 MW intra-state grid-connected hybrid power project.

The last date for submitting the online bid is November 10, 2022, till 11:00 am and the bid will be opened on the same day. The minimum project bid capacity of a single hybrid power project shall be 50 MW.

This MSEDCL 500 MW hybrid tender includes the scope of the work of setting up the solar plant of awarded capacity, including design & engineering, manufacture/procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning including warranty obligation with comprehensive operation and maintenance. 

Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 25,000 (including 18% GST) as a cost of the tender document, which is non-refundable. Each interested bidder will also have to pay Rs. 3 Lakh per MW (including 18% GST) as a bid processing fee, which is also non-refundable. The awarded bidder must pay Rs. 5 lakhs per MW as an earnest money deposit. The selected bidder also must provide Rs. 10 Lakh/MW as a performance bank guarantee (PBG) after the issuance of the letter of intent and before signing the power purchase agreement (PPA). 

The successful bidder must have a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 75 lakhs/MW during the previous financial year i.e., FY 2021-22, or as on the date at least 7 days before the due date of bid submission.

The Net-Worth of the awarded bidder for the financial year ended on 31.03.2022 shall not be less than Rs 1 Crores per MW or as on the date at least 7 days before the due date of bid submission.
