MSEDCL Invites Bid For Procurement From 500 MW Hybrid Projects Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) invited a long-term bid for procurement from 500 MW Inter/intra-state grid-connected wind-solar hybrid projects. This project has a green shoe option of additional capacity of up to 500 MW through a tariff-based bidding process on the e-Bidding portal to mitigate Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO). The bid document was made available on the MSEDCL portal on 11th March at 23.00 Hrs. The pre-bid meeting is expected to be held through video conference on 20th March 2024 at 11.00 Hrs. The last date for submission of technical and financial bids is 04th April 2024 at 11.00 Hrs. The tender mentioned, “The technical bid opening, the financial bid opening, and the reverse e-auction are to be informed later. The cost of the RfS Document (non-refundable) is Rs 25000/- (plus applicable GST) (to be paid through online payment.” It mentioned, “The processing fee (nonrefundable) is Rs. 15 Lakhs plus applicable GST as on last date of bid submission for each response/bid, (to be paid through online payment to the above-mentioned account details (Kindly provide UTR No. details to MSEDCL at the time of bid submission), along with the response to RfS.” It added the earnest money deposit (EMD) payable is 11 lakh /MW in the form of a Bank Guarantee along with the Response to RfS. (MSEDCL) approved the procurement of 7783 MW on a long-term basis at a tariff of Rs 2.90 to 3.10/kWh from solar generators. The commission also allows MSEDCL to procure additional power up to 2000 MW under subsequent rounds of bidding under MSKVY 2.0 subject to the condition that the discovered tariff is within the same range of Rs 2.90 to 3.10/kWh with a weighted average tariff of Rs. 3.08/kWh.
