MPUVNL Tender Invites Bids For 35 MW Rooftop Solar Systems By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Wed, Jun 29th, 2022 Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited has floated a tender inviting bids for installation of 35 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The bids will extend to operations and maintenance of the project for 25 years. The tender mentions that the last date for online submission of the bids is July 13, 2022. The earnest money a bidder must deposit is Rs 100,000 per MW. Among the eligibility criterion for a successful bid are: Firstly, the minimum net worth of a bidder must be either Rs 25 lacs per MW or a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 1 crore per MW during the last three years. In the case of a consortium, the financial eligibility criteria will be jointly met by the lead member or its affiliate. Based on the project capacity as established through an on-ground survey of the site, the nodal agency, successful bidder, and procuring agency must come to ensure that the power purchase agreement is signed within 45 days of the work order. Liquidated damages will be charged to the solar project developer at the rate of 5 % of performance bank guarantee for every week delayed. It would be the responsibility of the developer to ensure the metering and grid connectivity of the projects as per the guidelines prescribed by the Central Electricity Authority, distribution company and net metering provisions in the state. Driven by the success of the JV firm RUMSL to attract competitive bids, Madhya Pradesh has been catching up on solar additions in the past 2 years, with an existing pipeline of over 1.2 GW of projects under execution already.
