Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) has floated an e-tender for trending carbon credits from solar rooftop projects in Madhya Pradesh. This tender has included the appointment of consultants for validation, registration, verification, issuance, and trading of carbon credits from solar rooftop projects. The interested bidder can participate in the bidding process through an online process only. The last date to submit bids for this Carbon Credits tender is August 11, 2022, till 03:00 PM. Bids will be opened on the same day. Each participated bidder will have to pay Rs. 6,195/- as a tender fee. The awarded bidder will have to pay Rs. 20 lakh as an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD). Bidders must have traded at least 160,000 carbon credits annually in any three of the previous five fiscal years to be eligible. In any three of the previous five fiscal years, they must have generated at least Rs. 5 crores in yearly revenue from carbon trading alone. Their net worth should have increased over the previous fiscal year. Senior officers will participate in consultations with the consultant to better understand the project, gather information, and complete the fundamental paperwork. To comprehend the project and gather all the data, the consultant will make at least one site visit. It will be necessary to provide a thorough guide note on how the project might be used as a carbon credit activity.
