MNRE Seeks Details of Consulting Firms for Pre-Bid Video Meet for India’s ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ Plan By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Mon, Jun 15th, 2020 The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has asked all the interested and eligible consulting firms to submit their details for participation in the pre-bid meeting via video conferencing for the request for proposal (RFP) issued to develop institutional framework for implementing ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ (OSOWOG) plan. The reason behind video conferencing is quoted by MNRE as “in view of the prevailing situation and lockdown in many parts of the country due to Covid-19 pandemics, it has been decided to hold the pre-bid meeting through video conferencing, scheduled on June 22, 2020.” In this regard, MNRE has asked interested firms to submit the following details: a) The details of your firm/ organization as per the attached annexes related to the eligibility criteria of the firms seeking to participate in the RFP; MNRE Invites Proposals to Develop Institutional Framework for ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ Implementation Also Read b) Details of the person(s) participating in the Pre-Bid meeting; Govt Extends All Deadlines for ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ Plan on Request Also Read c) Queries as regards the RFP as per the attached format. Earlier on May 27, this year, MNRE had invited proposals from eligible consulting firms for developing a long-term vision, implementation plan, road map and institutional framework for implementing ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ (OSOWOG). This was in line with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for connecting solar energy supply across borders by giving the mantra of ‘One World One Sun One Grid’ while addressing the inaugural function of 2nd Global RE-Invest meeting of Indian Ocean Rim Association and the first assembly of International Solar Alliance (ISA) in Delhi. Later on June 4, 2020, the Ministry had extended the timelines of each activity of its RFP for the development and implementation of India’s OSOWOG plan.
