MNRE Issues Order To Simplify Solar Park Documentation Travancore Cochin Chemicals Issues 22 MW RE Plant Tender

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in its latest order exempted the vetting of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and solar parks infrastructure development charges and O&M charges of solar parks by the State Government Committee. This was done by demands were made by the developers to ease out the process.

The new notification of the MNRE said that such applications can be made only at the central level.

“Solar/renewable parks being developed by CPSUs/JVs of CPSUs will be exempted from vetting of DPRs by the state government committee. The DPRs of these parks may be submitted directly to SECI/IREDA and MNRE. However, such SPPDs are required to submit approval of the solar parks’s infrastructure development charges, O&M charges, land lease charges, Return of Equity etc by the Board of the SPPD,” the notification read.

MNRE said that the SPPDs are also required to submit that the charges are in-line with the norms specified in the guidelines of the ministry issued on November 12, 2021.

It also added, “For solar/renewable parks being developed by the state government PSUs, the DPR along with the park infrastructure development charges, O&M chargers and other related charges such as lease rent of land for solar/RE park will need the approval of the department of power/energy/renewable energy of the state government. The department may indicate in their approval that the charges are in-line with the norms specified in the guidelines of the ministry issued on November 12,2021.”
