MNRE Issues New List of DRC Members By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Tue, Dec 10th, 2019 The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on Monday has issued a new list of the members of Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC). The move came after the resignation of Anil Swarup, who is the former Coal Secretary/ School Edn. Secretary, Ex-IAS, UP: 1981, from the Dispute Resolution Committee. Now, P. K. Basu, former Agriculture Secretary/ Ex-IAS, BH:1976, will be the new member at the Dispute Resolution Committee in place of Swarup. However, the ministry didn’t disclose the reason behind Swarup’s resignation from the DRC. Following the development, the new list of members of the Dispute Resolution Committee will be comprised of – P. K. Basu; M.F. Farooqui (former DOT Secretary/ Heavy Industry Secretary, Ex-IAS, TN:1978); and A.K. Dubey (former Sports Secretary, Ex-IAS, Kerala:1982). Earlier in June this year, MNRE had formed the three-member dispute resolution committee with an aim to resolve unforeseen disputes between renewable energy players and government agencies.
